Welcome from the Head Teacher

I would like to warmly welcome you to St Nicholas CE First School and hope that you will find all that you are looking for on our school website.   We are proud to be part of a Trust of schools who work closely together known collectively as CMAT (Codsall Multi Academy Trust).

At St Nicholas we are proud of our Christian values and these underpin all that we do within school to support our learners; work with our families and support one another. We charge ourselves with the mission to shine Jesus’s light out into our community and parents often comment on this light still burning within their children as they move on in to next steps in their educational journeys.

I am proud to say I work with a committed and talented staff team who seek to serve the community, by shaping children who are excited to learn, value all in God’s Creation and who are equipped with the skills and knowledge to make a difference in the world.   

Our School Vision

You may notice our school logo comprises of a tree with a cross integral to it. This is a symbol that embodies what we hope to achieve throughout your child’s educational journey with us.  As our children naturally grow and move on from us they will have grown academically and socially; in wisdom and understanding and are ready to branch out and share their talents. They know who they are, understand right from wrong and have high expectations of themselves.  

We are always delighted to hear from past pupils who still have strong roots, but are now blossoming in further education and in the workplace, some even returning as employees within our school!    

We try to be a  school with a servant heart and as such it is important that all are enabled to grow and reach their potential, whilst also being protected by the stability and the shade that our well-established tree can offer. We are a school that people come back to and once you join our family, you will always remain a part of it.
