The PTFA has an important part to play in raising much needed extra funds to support the children's education. However, it is not solely about raising money, it's about working in partnership with the school, the governing body and the community. We are grateful of any help whether it is at school events, fund raising ideas or just a show of support by attendance at our meetings.
Please note that ALL parents and families are automatically members of the school PTFA and can devote as little or as much time as they are able to in supporting events.
Other PTFA Officers are as follows:
Vice Chair – Joanne Robinson
Treasurer – Nicola Read
Secretary – Louize Spittle
A number of very successful events have been held during the current school year, including bonfire night, tea and cake with Santa, two film nights, a slumber party, the Easter egg hunt and the school disco. As well as these events, children also enjoyed making candles for Mother's Day and taking part in a talent show contest.
All profits from these events are being put back into the school, providing items such as the Kindles for each classroom and subsidising the coaches for school trips, amongst many other things. Almost £8,000 has been raised so far and we would like to thank all the staff, parents and children for their support and for making this possible.
We hope these events and activities are enjoyed by all. If you have any suggestions for new events or activities we could do to raise more funds, please do let us know. We would love to hear from you.
Please see below the minutes from the last PTFA meeting.
