Year 4 Transition Sessions
Just a quick message to say that we are very much looking forward to seeing many of our Year 4 children coming back to us on Thursday 2nd July (even if for a short while) to have their photographs taken and to collect their awards. Please do be prepared for the unpredictable weather conditions!
In addition, we hope that the 1 hour face-to-face sessions arranged for Monday 6th July will provide a good opportunity for all of our children to receive some transition support, as we know that it is not possible for everyone, due to this unprecedented time, to experience the same type of transition activities. We appreciate that the middle school is trying to support those pupils who may benefit most from a short visit to the school within difficult social distancing parameters after the school day. However due to the school year group intake being at least double that of St Nicholas it would be impossible to offer this to all.
Due to the vast number of children in our cohort, we are committed to carefully balancing the needs of all our children (socially and emotionally, as well as educationally), to ensure everyone has access to the most appropriate support during this time. Please be assured that we continue to liaise with the middle schools about your children’s achievements and how best they can be supported, when they start in September, and make decisions that are in the best interests of your child.
We look forward to seeing many of you over the coming week!
