World Book Day Message From Mrs Sollom (28/2/19)
We are all very excited about World Book Day on Thursday 7th March.
The children are invited to dress up as their favourite book character. The children will be asked to share who they are and which story they are from, as well as why they like this character or story. It would be lovely if the children could bring in the book their character is from if possible (please ensure these are labelled with your child’s name).
Staff are busy thinking about their favourite characters and story from their childhood and we will be holding “Story time at St. Nics”on Thursday. All the staff have chosen a story and the children will choose which story they would like to hear and then go along to hear it read by a particular adult.
During the week we will also be reading and carrying out activities based around our chosen book “Woolf” by Alex Latimer. A wonderful story about being proud of who you are; respecting how we are all different and acceptance.
World Book Day tokens will be sent out this week. Please use these at our book fair for £1 off against the purchase price of the books on offer.
